What was later to become the Norgesglass (Norway Kilner jar) was first produced by Hadeland Glassverk in 1902. The glass, with its characteristic Norway logo, revolutionized the possibilities for preserving and storing food when it was launched, more than 115 years ago. Over 75 million glasses have been produced over the years, which has led to the Norgesglass becoming a term and common name for this type of lidded glasses. In the summer of 2014, the Norgesglass was relaunched in its traditional shape, containing new and exciting products. Several other utility objects with the well-known Norway logo were also launched.
